Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho hopes his side will learn from their trip to Milan in the UEFA Champions League in preparation for the knockout round.

"I think my team needs to learn, they need to learn how to play in the Champions League," Mourinho told FIFA.com.
"The important thing is to learn to play at this level. If we had played as we should have done in the second half, we could have been 2-0 or 3-0 up but instead we could have lost. So it was a great experience in terms of helping us to learn."
The Portuguese tactician was however delighted with his team's spirit to take the game right to the death and avoid a first defeat of the season.
"It was an important moment for Pedro but more so for the team because we've not lost, we've already qualified for the second round and we need just one point to win the group. The most important thing was that the team had the mentality to play with the risk their coach asked of them at the end with many forwards."
